Intertrain is supporting the Rail Infrastructure / Possessions Team of the Year Award.
Over the summer, the Orange Army has been out in force progressing projects, upgrades and electrification up and down the network. Behind every project is a series of teams with clearly aligned objectives. With possessions a nightly phenomenon of the new rail industry, the award seeks to honour the hundreds of teams that come together to rebuild Britain’s railways.
Intertrain (UK) Ltd started in 1997 and is a private training company providing rail safety critical courses, in accordance with Network Rail protocols. Courses include assessments, plant and tools training, first aid, fire safety courses and NVQ training together with an expanding portfolio of railway engineering apprenticeships. It’s a broad remit and the company has a national network of training venues in Doncaster, York, London, Chesterfield, Gateshead, Bristol, Glasgow, Warrington, Birmingham and Burton on Trent.
Intertrain is also working with a large number of employers nationally to offer railway engineering and overhead line apprenticeship schemes for 17-24 year olds.
No stranger to capacity constraints itself, Intertrain moved to the 4-acre Balby Court Business Campus in Doncaster in June this year. The ready- to-use campus means companies can come in, set up and get down to work within a few days.
Intertrain is an integral part of the rail dynamo and Balby Court Business Campus offers comprehensive training as well as a place to nurture other rail businesses.
